Your Favorite Place in Texas

The wonderful thing about Texas is that, other than mountains, you have most every type of landscape you could want. Rivers to beaches, desert to forest, country to big city, hills to canyons.
I have a favorite spot that I will share with you. It is quiet and out of the way, but, whether it's because it's beautiful, or that I found it a refuge in a hard time in my life, it is my heaven on earth, hideaway, peaceful place. Now, don't laugh, but its on the Medina River, outside of Bandera. My parent's own a little place there and, *sigh*...I can't get enough of it.
This is the Medina river (yes I took that shot) and, not without my family's objections, I could sit in a tube on the river all day! My little heaven in Texas.

Now for YOU! I want you to tell me about your little spot on heaven in our great state. Blog about it on your blog and post a link in the comments here.

Next Friday, I'll use a random number generator and the Texas Team shop that comes up will be featured on this blog next week.
Lets all read each other's blogs and get to know one another and great spots in our state! If you aren't on our Etsy Texas Crafters Team, share a little anyway. We'd love to get to know you!

Awesome idea, Amy! It's so hard to pick one spot in this great state, but I'll post something in the next couple of days...

P.S. Texas has mountains -- check out this list of mountains over a mile high: http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ref/abouttx/mountains.html

Just one? Oh, gosh. Well, I'm from the Gulf Coast, so that's my favorite summer spot. When it's too cold for the beach, I love the Hill Country - especially the caverns just outside of Austin. Lovely and peaceful!

Great Idea Amy!!! I just took a trip with my boyfriend a couple of months ago and we found a huge field of bluebonnets with one lonely Indian Paintbrush. I posted it on my blog....but next weekend we're going to the beach!!! :)
I also have a blog about "Purple Songs Can Fly" that my musician friends founded at the Children's Cancer hospital. I'm so proud of their constant charity of their time and this is a fabulous mission right in the heart of Houston. My blogsite is: http://LindaGJones.blogspot.com
I won't be offended if you don't use these pictures and posts, but just wanted to let you know!
